Purevision

Odds are if you are a fan of American muscle machines, you know who Steve Strope is.  Strope's shop, Pure Vision in Simi Valley, California creates some of the most original and best known customs in the business.

Cars such as Hammer - the Petrol Charger, Chevrolet Nova Z-28 and the wild 515 GTB are perfect examples of the lengths Strope will go to in order to engage people in his vision.  His 515 GTB is a car that seamlessly melds old and new, the best of the American muscle car and a late 1960's European road racer, creating the world's only exotic muscle car.  His Chevy Nova Z-28 is an idea that should have been from GM long ago, but that was perfected in the new millennium, adding horsepower and styling credentials to an icon among American automobiles. The Petrol Charger is above and beyond what the Dodge Boys had in mind in the sixties, and exudes a swagger and presence that many other builders can only dream of creating.

Purevision also designs and builds full-on modern street machines as well.  Some of Strope's more modern soon-to-be-classics include the Dodge Magnum street machine - a design that takes the best of Detroit design and the best muscle machine upgrades and makes the family cruiser cooler than it was ever meant to be.

Strope's vision for his future was never tempered by limits.  Growing up in New York, he traveled to California in search of a job in the hot rod industry and instead of working for someone else he founded his own company - Pure Vision, where he has laid a strong foundation for his company to grow upon.  Based on hard work and great design, Pure Vision has become a force in the automotive design world.  In his own words, Strope says he "…does more with less", and it is this paradigm that has earned Pure Vision 3 coveted Hot Rod Magazine Top Ten Cars of the Year awards, and its own episode on the hit TLC series RIDES.

Pure Vision increased its notoriety when it designed actor Vin Diesel's car in the 2006 movie, The Fast and Furious 3-Tokyo Drift (Universal Studios), and partnered with toy maker Mattel's Hot Wheels™ to bring a line of Pure Vision designed die cast toy cars to market in spring 2008.
"Partnering with Steve Strope and Pure Vision has been an excellent fit for Pirelli," said Rafael Navarro, Director of Media Communications and Motorsport for Pirelli Tire North America.  "Steve has a rare talent in creating a clean, concise design language and Pure Vision has strength of brand that engages people.  Pirelli is proud to be a part of the success of Pure Vision, and we look forward to many exciting designs to come from Steve and his team of craftspeople."

Pure Vision cars have a signature concept/build style that can be described as simple, straight forward and well detailed. All design, fabrication, and assembly are executed with thought, planning and detail - it is easy for people to recognize a Pure Vision original.
