All DP wheels must have the car number stamped in the rim center section prior to having a tire mounted

Guideline for correct use of Pirelli Grand-Am DP tires:
  • To optimize the performance of Pirelli Daytona Prototype slick tires it is strongly recommended to NEVER set cold pressures lower than 22 psi and to NEVER set hot pressure lower than 32psi.
  • Maximum Hot Temperature should be around 220F.
  • Optimum working temperature spread is about 50F between inner and outer shoulders.
  • Maximum Camber permitted is 3.5°

Guideline for correct use of Pirelli Grand-Am GT tires on a REAR Engine car:
  • To better optimize the performance of Pirelli GT slick tires fitted on a rear engine car, it is strongly recommended to NEVER set cold pressures lower than 30psi front and 32psi rear and to NEVER set hot pressure lower than 40psi front & 42psi rear.
  • Maximum Hot Temperature should be around 220F.
  • Optimum working temperature spread is about 50F between inner and outer shoulders.

General recommendation
  • Pirelli strongly recommends the use of metal valves;
  • Pirelli strongly recommends the use of valve caps even for short runs;
  • Pirelli welcomes the use of pressure monitoring systems.  All TPMS sensors must be approved by Pirelli personnel prior to use.  A preliminary fitting test should be carried out in cooperation with Pirelli Tire Technicians.  This will insure compatibility with our equipment;
  • All rims must have, if any, pressure sensors fitted by the Team prior to having any tire mounted.

STRICT COMPLIANCE WITH  PIRELLI  RECOMMENDATIONS WILL GIVE ALL TEAMS THE POSSIBILITY TO OPTIMIZE THE USE OF OUR TIRES
