• How often should car tire pressure be checked ?
  Pressure checks, including the spare tire, must be made every two weeks using an accurate gauge.
  
• In what conditions should the pressure be check ?
  Tire pressure should checked when the tires are cold. Pressure increases during running, sometimes exceeding 20%. This is normal and is allowed for in the design of tires.
  
• What is the recommended pressure for the spare tire ?
  Where different pressures are recommended for the axles of a car (the tires on a given axle should always have the same pressure), the pressure of the spare tire, if of the same type, should be at least 0,3 bar greater than the higher recommended pressure and be re-adjusted to the correct pressure when fitted on the car.
  For spare tire/wheel assemblies of a different type to those already mounted on the car, consult the tire manufacturer.
  
• What are considered "cold" tires ?
  Tires are considered to be cold when they have not been run for at least one hour or have been run at low speed for not more than two or three kilometres.
  
• Do tires grow old ?
  Tires age even if they have not been used or have only been used occasionally. Cracking of the tread and sidewall rubber, sometimes accompanied by carcass deformation, is evidence of ageing. Old and aged tires must be checked by tire specialists to ascertain their suitability for further use.
  
• Is regrooving of Passenger Car Tires permitted ?
  Regrooving of Passenger Car Tires is not permitted.
  
• What is "AQUAPLANING"?
  Loss of tire contact with the wet road due to the impossibility of expelling the water from the footprint area under these conditions.
